What is a fanlisting?

A fanlisting is exactly what it says it is. A listing of fans for one particular subject from around the world. The idea for them came from Janine Mischor who decided to find out how many Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans were out there. The idea expanded into The Fanlistings network, where you can get more information on joining thousands of other fanlistings, and maybe even build your own.

About 'Pathetic Nature'

I love Steve Carell.  Seriously, I do.  I first became a fan of Steve when he was a correspondent on The Daily Show.  He was my favorite of all of the great, immensely talented, correspondents that have been on the show over the years.  I particularly loved the "Slimmin' Down With Steve" segment and the always brilliant "Even Stevphen" segment with Stephen Colbert.  When Steve Carell started showing up in the movies I was seeing, he always seemed to be a huge scene-stealer.  For example, his part in Bruce Almighty is a minor supporting part but extremely memorable!  And, I particularly loved him as Brick Tamland in Anchorman.  It was actually because they cast Steve in the US version of The Office that I became a little less worried about them making a crappy adaptation of the original British show, and it's because of Steve that I started watching it! (And it's now my favorite show currently on TV.)  I think there is just something about Steve that makes him so likable in almost everything he does, and no matter who he is playing.  He takes a character that's a total mess, Michael Scott, and still gives him enough humanity that you still want to like him.  And in The 40 Year Old Virgin, he took a character that could have been overly pathetic in the hands of a lesser actor and made him absolutely endearing.

So yeah, like I said, I love Steve Carell.  And I was absolutely thrilled when Cherrie decided to hand this fanlisting over to me.  Thank you again, Cherrie!
