What is a fanlisting?
A fanlisting is exactly what it says it is. A listing of fans for one particular subject from around the world. The idea for them came from Janine Mischor who decided to find out how many Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans were out there. The idea expanded into The Fanlistings network, where you can get more information on joining thousands of other fanlistings, and maybe even build your own.

About 'Irrepressible'
I could not be more thrilled or excited to have been approved by Bronagh to run this fanlisting! I'm not just a fan of Jimmy Fallon, I am a follower. (As in, slightly obsessed, but in a totally healthy way.) He first debuted on SNL in 1998, and for his first three episodes he was just that new guy in the background, but on his 4th episode (Ben Stiller hosted), he really stepped into the spotlight with a dead-on Adam Sandler impression and a group of songs about Halloween on "Weekend Update". From that point on, I was completely hooked. I firmly believe that Jimmy has the talent, and more importantly, the versatility to join the ranks of other SNL alums who have done amazing things with their careers. I was one of his earliest fans, and will continue to be a fan as long as I live, following his career wherever it may take him. :)

Jimmy was once quoted as saying that he was learning comedy at "Saturday Night Live" and if he learned drama from doing films he'd be an "unstoppable robot". I could not agree more, and so I found a word that means the same as unstoppable, and decided to call this fanlisting "Irrepressible". Jimmy isn't just an adorable face, he has a talent that won't be stopped, and I know that he'll be around for a very very long time.

About Jimmy Fallon
Jimmy was born on September 19, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Gloria and James Fallon. He has an sister Gloria, who is one year older than him. He was raised in Saugerties, New York, where his parents still reside. Growing up, Jimmy and his sister were known for performing skits for their family members. Even as a young child, Jimmy dreamed of being a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" and would often imitate the characters from the show. His talent for impressions was evident very early on.

He attended college as a computer science major, but dropped out a year short of earning his degree to pursue his real dream of acting. He moved to L.A. to study with the improv group, The Groundlings, and also performed many stand-up comedy shows. It was while he was in Los Angeles that he got the opportunity to audition for Lorne Michaels, the creator and executive producer of "Saturday Night Live". Jimmy says that he had been warned that Lorne never laughs at auditions, so not to be worried if Lorne didn't laugh at him. True to form, Lorne did not laugh at first -- that is until Jimmy did his now famous impression of Adam Sandler. He was hired to be a featured player for the 1998-1999 season.

It didn't take long for Jimmy to make an impression on SNL fans and even though he's often criticized for his inability to keep a straight face, he is still one of SNL's most popular performers. Not only is he a star at 11:30 on Saturday nights, he's made his mark in many other areas as well. In 1999, he released a book entitled "I Hate This Place: The Pessimist's Guide to Life" which he co-wrote with his sister, and in 2000 he became the co-anchor of Weekend Update with SNL's head writer Tina Fey. He's also a Grammy award nominee for his comedy/music album "The Bathroom Wall", which had a popular single entitled "Idiot Boyfriend". He's also hosted both the MTV Movie Awards (with Kirsten Dunst), and the MTV Video Music Awards, and filled in for David Letterman.

Aside from his successes in television, the recording industry and publishing, Jimmy also has a burgeoning film career. He has appeared in the Academy Award winning film, "Almost Famous", the Woody Allen film "Anything Else" and had a small role in the Steven Spielberg produced mini-series "Band of Brothers" on HBO. In 2004, he had his first starring role alongside Queen Latifah in the comedy "Taxi", playing a New York City cop who teams up with a taxi driver to catch a group of bank robbers.  In the spring of 2005, Jimmy's next film the romantic comedy about the Boston Red Sox, "Fever Pitch", co-starring Drew Barrymore was released to excellent reviews.  (Favorable for both the film and Jimmy's performance.)
