A fanlisting is exactly what it says it is. A listing of fans for one particular subject from around the world. The idea for them came from Janine Mischor who decided to find out how many Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans were out there. The idea expanded into The Fanlistings network, where you can get more information on joining thousands of other fanlistings, and maybe even build your own.

The title of this fanlisting comes from the following quote given by Carl Denham (Jack Black) in the film: "And lo, the beast looked upon the face of beauty, and beauty stayed his hand. And from that day forward, he was as one dead." 

I'm a big fan of Peter Jackson and have been even years before he made the Lord of the Rings films. So I was eagerly anticipating his remake of the classic King Kong, even knowing that it would inevitably be compared to the much loved original film. However, Jackson did not disappoint. The movie was both thrilling and poignant and no other movie that year kept me right on the edge of my seat for 3 hours and completely engaged. It was just beautifully done all around.
