A fanlisting is exactly what it says it is. A listing of fans for one particular subject from around the world. The idea for them came from Janine Mischor who decided to find out how many Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans were out there. The idea expanded into The Fanlistings network, where you can get more information on joining thousands of other fanlistings, and maybe even build your own.

First off, this fanlisting's title comes from a quote in the episode "War Stories".  That episode is my favorite one of the series (might be because it's Wash-centric, no?), and it's such an amusing quote, so when I was trying to decide on a title it just sprang to mind automatically.

As for why I'm running this fanlisting, well, it might just be because Wash is one of the greatest characters EVER written.  No, seriously, he is.  At least to me anyway.  Joss Whedon is a genius and not only is he responsible for my favorite female TV character of all time (Willow Rosenberg), but he's also responsible for creating my favorite male character, Wash.  Not only is he unabashedly hilarious, but he is such a kind, genuine and real character.  I admire how he sort of walks the line between supporting the shady business practices of the Serenity crew and still being an honest and decent person.  I also admire his unfailing loyalty to his gorgeous wife and their entire relationship.  I'm so completely grateful to Leia and the other TFL Staffers who approved this fanlisting to me.  Wash means so much to me, and I'm truly over the moon about getting to run the TFL-listed fanlisting for him. :)

I'd also like to thank Selene and Jennifer for being so completely generous in allowing me to use the members list from the previous fanlisting.  I cannot thank you both enough for all the support. :)
